Prepared by the National Centre for Liturgy in association with the Advisory Committee on Church Music of the Bishops’ Conference, this anthology of music for the Irish Church is a resource for all involved in music ministry and for all who gather to celebrate the Eucharist.
Sing the Mass contains new settings for the Mass by Ephrem Feeley, Liam Lawton, Columba McCann and Bernard Sexton.
It also contains previously used settings that have been amended for the new translation of the Roman Missal by Seóirse Bodley, Fintan O’Carroll and the Mass of Our Lady of Lourdes; as well as other Mass parts by Thomas C. Kelly, Kevin Mayhew, Margaret Daly, Peter O’Kane and Tom Egan.
It was launched at the 42nd annual summer school of the Irish Church Music Association as the final preparations are being made for the use of the third edition of the Roman Missal and as Ireland prepares for the International Eucharistic Congress in June 2012.
